A notice to plead must name the designated lawyer-referral and legal-aid offices and provide their listed contact information.

The petitioner must serve the executed motion cover sheet on the alleged incapacitated person and the specified counsel, potential intestate estate beneficiaries, power-of-attorney agents, residential service providers, and any other parties the court directs.

Upon filing a case monitoring notice, the prothonotary must file-stamp and docket it and immediately forward it for judge assignment and further action.

The petition to adjudicate incapacity and appoint a guardian must substantially follow the form provided.

Lawyers should agree on scheduling meetings, depositions, hearings, and trial dates, and should not unreasonably refuse a reasonable scheduling accommodation.

The prothonotary may charge a convenience fee to convert a legal paper or exhibit to PDF for electronic filing.

Unless all transcript costs have been waived, the litigant must first send the request form to the senior court reporter by preferred email, fax, or U.S. or courthouse mail before filing it.

Before filing a motion to compel discovery or for a protective order, moving counsel must seek concurrence; if contact cannot be made before filing, the motion may proceed with that stated in the certification, but the duty to seek concurrence continues.

The case monitoring notice is limited to one page, but its caption may be abbreviated if necessary to meet the limit.

No courtesy copies of motions and briefs should be mailed to the judge or court administrator.

A party seeking to file a document under seal must designate it as sealed in the filing system and submit a proper sealing request; access is limited to the court, prothonotary staff, and applicable case participants.
