Centre County Court of Common Pleas Filing Rules

The court may vacate a fee-waiver order if the application or supplemental information was materially inaccurate or the party can pay the fees and costs.

If the opposing party does not file counterstatements of facts or questions involved, the moving party’s statements are deemed adopted.

Margins must be at least one inch on each side; page numbers may appear in margins, but other text may not.

Filings must be received by 4:30 p.m. to be timestamped for that business day.

Self-represented litigants must follow the rules governing pleadings, including giving notice to the opposing party.

Requests for court records must be made to the Centre County Prothonotary/Clerk of Court.

Electronic filing is permitted for legal papers, except in the listed case categories.

Counsel moving on a discovery motion must confer in good faith with opposing counsel to try to resolve the issues before seeking court intervention.

A custody conciliation conference may be cancelled only with the parties’ written consent or leave of court.

Any evaluation filed with the Court must be filed as a confidential document under the Pennsylvania Unified Judicial System’s Case Records Public Access Policy.
