The petition must state the requested relief and give details about what the court is being asked to do.

After the separation period has elapsed and the required affidavit is filed, a divorce may be entered after notice is given to the other party.

Form 3c: Personal Service – An adult, other than you, (such as a relative of yours, an employee, co-worker of yours, the Sheriff, private courier service, or any reliable third party), may personally hand Notice to Defend and Divorce Complaint to the other party. The person who hands the papers to your spouse must sign a completed Acceptance of Service.

The requesting party or party required to file the transcript is responsible for its cost, but no party is assessed costs for a court-initiated transcript.

The District Court Administrator must email one copy of the Order and Local Rule to the Administrative Office of Pennsylvania Courts.

The completed online Complaint Form must be printed before it is submitted to the Court.

A continuance request based on a conflict with a matter in another court of common pleas must state which matter was scheduled first.

The pre-trial statement may not exceed three pages.

A court may adopt a rule or order allowing a document to be filed in redacted and unredacted versions instead of using the Confidential Information Form.
