Mono Superior Court Filing Rules

In personal-injury actions, each party must attach its most recent medical report and state either that all its medical reports were delivered to the other parties or why certain reports were not delivered.

A counter arraignment form must reach the clerk by 3:00 p.m. on the day before the scheduled arraignment.

Each served party must file and serve all necessary responsive pleadings within the time required by law.

Counsel must instruct their staff, represented parties, attending associates, and witnesses not to communicate with the court about pending litigation except on the record with all counsel or self-represented parties present.

Choosing a payment plan adds a $35 administrative fee to the total.

All documents submitted electronically must include page numbers.

The listed documents, including specified family law filings and documents ordered by the Court, are excluded from eFiling and must be submitted in paper format.

A date that has been set may not be changed without a showing of good cause.

Courtesy copies of requests or oppositions must be filed with the department.

If a party designates its settlement conference statement as confidential, it is kept out of the Clerk’s file and retained by the settlement conference judge after the conference.

Before any Family Code matter is heard, counsel and their clients or self-represented parties must meet and confer in good faith and exchange potentially relevant or evidentiary documents; compliance is expected to be represented at the hearing.
