Add days forward from a trigger date (service, order, filing).
What is a court day?
The meaning can vary by jurisdiction and rule. Some systems use court days to exclude days when the court is closed. Read the source rule before selecting the count mode.
Are weekends excluded automatically?
Court days mode skips weekends and court holidays. Calendar days mode counts every day, and moves a last day that falls on a weekend or court holiday to the next court day.
Why do court holidays matter?
A filing date can move when the court is closed. State and local courts may observe holidays that do not appear on a generic federal calendar.
